One of our favorite ways to spend a summer evening in East Boise is at The Idaho Shakespeare Festival! The Shakespeare Festival is a live theatre experience that happens each summer right in East Boise! Featuring incredible talent from all over the country, The Shakespeare Festival puts on many amazing shows throughout the season. This year, the company is performing The Taming of the Shrew, Witness for the Prosecution, The Music Man, Julius Caesar, and Million Dollar Quartet.
The Shakespeare Festival’s mission is “to produce great theater, entertain, and educate”. They do this through their amazing shows, summer camps, workshops, volunteer opportunities, and more. A great spot for a fun night out, visitors are encouraged to bring their own food and drinks due to their fun tradition of picnicking. However, there is a range of food and drink available for purchase, as well. We can’t wait to see you there!
